Paula Nuévalos
farmer
After studying mechanical engineering at the Polytechnic and working for a few years in the city, I realized that what made me happy was not in the plans or in the offices, but here, in the countryside, in nature, in my land.

I was born and grew up in Utiel, a town surrounded by vineyards that has always given me
calm and roots.

When my father passed away and the family farm began to fade, I felt that my time had come. I made the decision to continue with what was ours, to give a new impulse to what he had taken care of with so much effort. If I didn't do it then, I knew I never would.

Today, every morning,

walking among vineyards and almond trees,

I confirm that I made the right choice.

Behind every bunch of grapes, every almond,

there is a story that deserves to be told.

Farming for me is not just a trade,

is a way of life.

I deeply believe that the countryside needs young voices to keep it alive. Agriculture is not a thing of the past or an imposed destiny. It is a conscious choice and it can be a choice full of future, innovation and opportunities.

I'm Paula, and today I can say that

I am happy here in the field.

living what I am and what I want to be.

For me, agriculture is respect for nature, continuity of traditions and the root of who we are. Every day in the field reaffirms that you can live from what you love, grow with what you take care of and build a future from what sustains us.
