Maora
Ceramics
Maora didn't start as a brand. It started as a decision. There was a moment when everything changed and ceramics were no longer what they had been for many years. At that point, it seemed easier to stop than to continue... but I don't know how to give up.

There is no mass production here. Everything goes through hands.
We work the clay from its origin: we select it, knead it, and mold it piece by piece. The clay dries in the open air, respecting its time. The glaze is applied by hand, with a spray gun.

The exact same weight is never applied, the same gesture is never repeated... and that makes
each piece has its own character

The material is alive... and what is alive is never identical
That's why no two pieces are alike.

The pieces go into the oven one by one, and the fire transforms the clay. When they come out, we inspect and select them manually.

Not all challenges are easy and
Each project is unique

Deadlines are tight and assignments are demanding, but
no project or difficulty can stop us

Today Maora travels the world, but in reality it is still the same as it was in the beginning:
A woman working clay and a family that has grown beside me

Together with my children, Gonzalo and Amparo, we continue every day with the same idea with which I started.
that handmade is not only a way of producing...
is a way of life

Maora is character, it's reinvention, it's legacy
And it is the proof that when something is made with hands... it is also made with soul.

This is our tribute to those workers who turn the ordinary into the extraordinary.
